At Hearth & Haven Vacation Rentals, we understand that personal items may occasionally be left behind after a stay. Our goal is to help reunite guests with their belongings whenever possible while maintaining consistent procedures for handling all found items.

Providing details such as a description of the item, the property name, and your stay dates will help us locate it quickly.
Our cleaning teams follow a standard process whenever they discover a potential lost item:
Document & Report
Cleaners will report any found items to the Hearth & Haven management team immediately after a checkout.
Guest Notification
If we identify an item and can reasonably connect it to a recent guest, we will attempt to notify the guest within 7 days of checkout, using the email and/or phone number provided in the reservation.
Storage Policy
All recovered items will be stored for 30 days from the date they are found.
Disposition of Unclaimed Items
After 30 days, Hearth & Haven may store, discard, or donate the item at our discretion.
Perishable items, open food, or items that pose hygiene or safety concerns may be discarded immediately.
If a guest requests that an item be mailed back:
All shipping and handling costs are the responsibility of the guest.
Payment for shipping must be received before the item is sent.
We cannot guarantee delivery timeframes or condition upon arrival, as shipping carriers control the process once picked up.
For safety, liability, or hygiene reasons, certain items may not be stored or returned. Examples include:
Open or perishable food and beverages
Personal care items (toothbrushes, razors, makeup, etc.)
Hazardous or unsafe materials
These items may be discarded immediately.
